Professor Gérard Valin is Professor of Finance at CERAM. He is also an expert with Deloitte and Touche, where he started the employee benefits practice. He was previously Dean of the ESSEC Business School. He has extensive experience managing insurance companies; he has been CFO, Member of the Board and CEO of insurance companies in Europe within the MIDI-AXA and Lazard-Generali groups. He holds a degree from HEC, he is a CPA, and he holds a Doctorate in Finance from Paris Dauphine. He has written two books on insurance, five books on auditing, and many articles on corporate finance and human capital, and he is a Financial Expert at the Paris Court of Appeal.
