Barbara Pécherot Petitt joined CERAM Sophia Antipolis as Professor of finance in September 2006. Graduated from EDHEC, she holds a doctorate in finance from the University of Grenoble. She started her career as a consultant at Financial Services and Management Development (FSMD) in London. She subsequently spent six years as a professor of finance at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale (Arizona), where she taught in the MBA/EMBA programs and where she received the Faculty Excellence Award in 2004. Her areas of expertise include corporate finance, international finance and valuation, with a special emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. In 2005, she received the Best Paper Award of the International Management Division at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Honolulu.
