In
the financial world, financial service providers must think
internationally, as national strategies are no longer
sufficient. Institutions that are successful must adopt
technologies quickly, they must provide innovative products and
services, and they must constantly benchmark leading payers and
new entrants in the financial arena. Financial professionals
must therefore grasp both leading edge financial knowledge, and
the managerial insights needed to cope successfully with the
dynamics of the industry.
We
believe that the key success in finance is the ability to make
appropriate decisions by combining detailed financial knowledge
with broad industry insight. The Masters in Financial Management
(MFM) Program offers you this combination by focussing on core
capabilities: an international orientation, in-depth financial
expertise, and the management skills and analytical abilities
needed for a changing environment.
As
Academic Director of the MFM Program, I want my students to
develop an explorer’s instinct: to cross the frontier of the
problem-awareness and structuring approach of case studies into
the territory of financial theory and empirical finance. Their
discoveries in this area are used to create a toolbox, which
when you return to the original problem, enables you to engage
with it from a fresh perspective, and so generate innovative
solutions.
The program is challenging and inspiring, as witnessed by our
alumni, even years after graduation. It is an investment in
terms of money and time, but the return is positive. Both in
terms of what you learned from the program and in terms of being
one full and intensive year within a stimulating class in a
stimulating School in a stimulating international environment.
You are welcome to take up the challenge and join us!
