The Erasmus Center for Financial Training was established in 1998 and is related to the Department of Finance of the Economic Faculty of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. ECFT offers top-level training courses to finance professionals and specialists e.g. treasurers, bankers, investors and financial managers. In addition to organizing management training programs, ECFT offers the Masters in Financial Management program in conjunction with the Rotterdam School of Management and the Executive Master in Islamic Financial management in cooperation with the Rotterdam School of Management and the French Ecole Supérieure des Affaires Since 2008 the MFM programme is offered by the Rotterdam School of Management and has access to a larger network of alumni, lecturers and corporate contacts, enhancing the experience and generating better finance proefssionals. MFM courses are known for their contribution to bridging the gap between theory and practice in the field of finance.
